Hi!

I’m Ginger, photographer & owner of GingerSnaps Photography!

​

The Outer Banks is such a beautiful place to visit, and I'm super grateful to call it home! Growing up, I spent every summer in Nags Head and moved here in high school. I absolutely love beach life: sunshine, salt water and flip-flops :) 

 

I earned degrees in Studio Art and Psychology at UNC Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) Following graduation, I launched GingerSnaps and have been shooting weddings & portraits professionally ever since. 

 

I live in Nags Head with my husband John, our adorable toddler, and two rescue dogs. On my days off you'll find me with my family: gardening, painting in my studio, fishing on our boat, or taking our pups for a hike to the sound. Having family and friends for dinner is something we really look forward to in the "off-season," and I love to travel. I first fell in love with photography while completing my art degree in Italy. Destination work (whether somewhere exotic or just across state lines) always sparks inspiration and stretches my creativity.

 

There's no place like home though...after more than 14 years behind the camera, hundreds of weddings, and well over 2,000 beach portraits, I'm still in awe of the beauty here and can't wait to hit the beach with my camera!
